Building an Order of Service

The Order of Service is the run-of-show for a specific service date — opening song, welcome, sermon, transitions. Volunteers see their cues here.

The Order of Service for a given date is the sequence of items the service moves through: opening song, welcome, announcements, worship set, scripture reading, sermon, response, closing.

Cue points

Each item can have a start time, duration, and notes. The on-stage team (worship leader, MC, host) sees these as cues. The booth (audio, video, lighting) sees them too — same source of truth.

Songs

Songs come from your Song Library. When you add a song to an order, the default key/tempo apply, but you can override per-service if you're transposing for a backup vocalist.

The unified Plan artifact ships in Product 2

Today, the Order of Service lives at /volunteer/service-order. Product 2 of this epic merges Order, Team, Songs, Notes, and Status into one unified Plan view per service date.
